The Goal

So whether we are here in this body, or away from this body, our goal is to please Him.
2 Cor. 5:9

So Whom are you serving?  How are you serving?  How are you preparing?  Executing?  Loving?
All things work together for our good!  Are you joyful?  Joy-filled?  Is it time to realign? Re-focus? Recommit?  Rededicate?

Do it!  Do not tarry - the end is near.

A Mentor

The glory of the young is their strength; the grey hair of experience is the splendor of the old.
Proverbs 20:29

Our children need mentors.  During these tender years of growing, they need inspiration.  They need a bar or code demonstrated to them that they can aspire too.  They need to see the many ways faith is lived out among God's people.  Mentorship is a nurturing process.   They guide individuals to excel and grow.  People who mentor are often more productive, better socialized, and less stressed themselves.  This is definately a win-win relationship.  The youthful zeal is sure to inspire the old and the experience of the old is sure to counsel the young.  Do you have your children paired up?  How about you?  Have you sought the counsel of a trusted older person?  God blesses and rewards the faithful and obedient.

Our Family Matriarch

This is my maternal grandmother.  She is one of the most beautiful people I know.
She has not had an easy life but has exemplified so much of the Proverbs 31 woman's character
- that I cannot help but eagerly watch and learn.
This is a picture of a woman who knows how to love.

The Sound of Music

Music fills our home regularily.  Our sons love to play: guitar, violin, piano and drums (well any percussion instrument he can get handy ~smile~), harmonicas and so much more.

This week, was the music festival in our town.  I'm sad to say that it appears to be falling away.  Limited volunteers to help carry on the tradition is a very real problem.  Moreover, limited entries...  pursuit for another time.

For I will sing to the LORD.  I will make music to the LORD, the God of Israel.  Judges 5

I love filling my home with music!  It adds such a lovely atmosphere and life.  It motivates me and moves me both.  I love to sit and play when I can.  You're never to old to learn!

Make a joyful sound with me, won't you?

Easter with Family

Three generations of women.
Our daughter and her family couldn't join us this year.
My Sweetie is behind the camera and alas, out of the picture. :-(

Easter Blessings

I am thankful for so much this Easter.   A Saviour, who paid the ultimate price for me, a husband who loves so deeply daily, children who bring me joy and inspire me, an extended family of relatives, church family and friends who through their transparency,  share their lives and challenge us to keep after the ultimate prize.

I was able to have our grandson join us for easter egg colouring and cookie decorating and what fun we had!  All ages delighting in a simple craft, sharing memories of years gone past and talk of symbols and substance - now that's lasting impact!

Because He lives!
