Training
Do not waste your time arguing over godless ideas and old wives' tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly.

It's easy to spin, isn't it? We are instructed to focus on that which is pure and edifies. How's your training program coming along? I know that I am often battling my flesh, but I long to glorify and so I must live consciously, pursuing the establishment of the fruits of the Holy Spirit in me. I'm sold out. Are you? How do you live it?

Homeschool Convention Season
"But God, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us by the arrival of Titus."
2 Corinthians 7:6
So it was with homeschool convention. It is not so much because I was discouraged - but because these conventions lift you up and remind you that you are not alone. I know that attending a conference can be costly, however, so can NOT attending! ~smile~ If your convention has a teen or children's track - take your family along and if not - it's time for you and your husband to have a weekend date or volunteer to help make this happen in the future. Our main line speakers were exceptional, professional and inspiring. The curriculum hall allows you time to touch and browse. Be encouraged. Meet some new fast friends. Be sure to include this in your budget and start seeking and praying-out where you need to go.

Daylight Savings Time and the Seasons
I love Solomon's general observations about the seasons in Ecclesiastes chapter 3 - only by this time each year, around our house, it feels like one of the most popular activites has been hockey. Truthfully - it has been! As the buds are preparing to pop and the soil awaken with new life, I can feel it all welling up inside of me too. Prepare. Be ready for change. I really try to enjoy each moment and opportunity as it affords itself. As I reflect on each verse, it serves as an all important reminder that there is always time - for everything. Fret not.
